Gateway 700 Setup Worksheets
This table contains
the worksheets for the protocols supported by the Gateway 700 Series
Converters. The worksheets should be used to gather information
for the various Ethernet, WAN and serial protocols. Completing the
worksheets will expedite the configuration process
Step 1 - IP Protocols
(10/100BaseT Connector)
The Gateways support
up to 100 separate sessions in any combination of Client and Server
modes. Each session can be mapped to a unique WAN or serial address
or assigned to one of the specialized processing paths (Step
4).
Step 2 - Serial Protocols (DB-25 and Modem Connectors)
The Gateways support up to 100 separate addresses for any one protocol.
Each address (if supported by the selected serial protocol) can
be mapped to a unique IP session or assigned to one of the specialized
processing paths (Step 4).
Step 3 - WAN Protocols (Port Two RJ-45 Connector)
The Gateways support up to 100 separate addresses (LCN) for the
X.25 connection or DLCI for a Frame Relay connection. Each address
can be mapped to a unique IP session or assigned to one of the specialized
processing paths (Step 4).
These worksheets can be used to define special routing for the data transferred
between the different protocols.
Step 5 - Unit Definitions
All of these worksheets
must be completed to properly configure the Gateway.
