G1000 Setup Worksheets
This
table contains the worksheets for the protocols supported by the
Gateway 1000 (G1000). The worksheets should be used to gather information
for the various Ethernet, WAN and serial protocols. Completing the
worksheets will expedite the configuration process. The G1000 protocol
support is tied to the type of expansion card installed in the system.
Step 1 - LAN Protocols
The G1000 support
up to 4096 separate sessions in any combination of Client and Server
modes through the standard Ethernet port. Each session can be mapped
to a unique LAN, WAN or serial address or assigned to one of the specialized
processing paths (Step 4).
Step 2 - WAN
Protocols
The G1000 support up WAN protocols through the WAN
Expansion Cards. Each DB-25 port on a WAN card supports up to
100 separate sessions. Each session can be mapped to a unique session
(address) for any available protocol or assigned to one of the specialized
processing paths (Step 4).
Step 3 - Serial Protocols
The G1000 support up serial protocols through the Serial
Expansion Cards. Each DB-25 port on a serial card can support
up to 100 separate addresses. Each address can be mapped to a unique
session (address) for any available protocol or assigned to one
of the specialized processing paths (Step
4).
These worksheets can be used to define special routing for
the data transferred between the different protocols.
Step 5 - Unit Definitions
All of these worksheets must be completed to properly configure
the G1000.
