Gateway Software Suites
Many different software suites are
available for the Gateways. These suites provide the legacy protocols support and unique
data manipulation for customer applications. The following software suites are
available:
The Configuration Menu is
a DOS-based program which is used to configure and control the Gateway through LAN
or WAN facilities. With the Configuration Menus, the System Administrator
can perform the following:

the Gateway's Configuration.

Transfer the configuration
file to the Gateway.

Control
the Gateway through Telnet functions.

The protocol support
is dependent on the hardware ports installed on the Gateway. This
chart lists the available port options.
The Gateway software includes an exclusive design to support the different
architecture between the streams-based design of TCP and the frame-based
design of serial protocols. For information on these headers, click

| This
suite provides an FTP interface for different serial protocols
on the Gateway 1000. Depending on the protocol, custom programming
may be required to adapt the data for the current serial application. |

| This
software allows the Gateway 1000 to record inbound data for later
playback to another port or protocol. A 30 GB hard drive is provided
for spooling of the inbound data. |
