G1000 QUAD Legacy Interface Card

The G1000 Quad Card provides four-port serial port for additional port density for the Gateway 1000 systems at a cost-effective price. Each port's dedicated microprocessor allows any mix of supported protocols to be configured. The supported Legacy protocols include: async, bisync, Poll/Select, SNA/SDLC, Uniscope protocols. This card can be installed in any G1000. The QUAD Card provides full on-board processing intelligence to support the connection to the Legacy network or device.

Jumper Settings:

  • The Quad Card has one blue switch bank with 5 pins. Pins flipped down (towards the motherboard) are "OFF" or "0". The five Quad Card pins are:

  • G1000-Quad Card Switch Placement (1.49 KB)

  • Quad Cards pre-installed in the G1000 unit will be shipped with the following switch settings:
    • First Quad Card: 0d8,0d9,0da,0db
    • Second Quad Card: 0dc, 0dd, 0de, and 0df
    • Third Quad Card: 0e0, 0e1, 0e2, and 0e3
    • Additional Cards: Look for setting on card or call JBM Customer Support

    Verify that the switches are set as follows:
