Gateway 1000 System Software

Overview

The application program for the Gateway 1000 (part number G1000-System) is available for installation in customer-supplied Linux systems. The program along with our expansion cards can provide the Gateway's functionality on standard computer systems.

The G1000 program is available under a per-system license agreement. For a (Acrobat version) copy of the system license, please click here.

Hardware Requirements

The application can run on any system running a current Linux distribution. The application includes all required drivers for our expansion cards. A minimum of 16 megs of RAM is required but larger RAM would be beneficial.

Operation

The G1000 System is a Linux application program which provides routing between dissimilar protocols and networks. Data from each of these protocols can be transferred to any other port supported by the program through internal routing functions. The G1000 System supports protocol conversion and data format manipulation on a device or port basis. Special logic determines the association between each logical device and the physical port.

The G1000 System supports protocol conversion and data format manipulation on a device or port basis. Special logic determines the association between each logical device and the physical port. The processing options, protocol conversion and port routing are assigned to an individual address or port through simple setup menus.

The G1000 System provides an extensive level of internal reporting and diagnostics which provide control over the communications between separate ports. The G1000 System supports a wide variety of WAN, LAN and Legacy protocols.

The unit's configuration is selected through JBM's configuration program.
