IP Device Support

In addition to full security and protocol conversion, the Gateways also provide the ability to support multiple terminals through the same unit. The following sections detail the support available with the IP Connector and Consolidator Series. Since each port is separate, the Gateways offer significant flexibility for device connection. The ability to spread the cost of the Gateway and the connection over several devices can help justify a wider implementation.

The Gateway C102 provides complete host emulation for the selected Legacy protocol. The C102 can convert the data from up to 30 devices to TCP for transfer to the host.

Multiple Devices – Separate Connections

Each Gateway port is independent, which allows several devices to be supported on the same unit. In this diagram, the C101 provides a connection for ATMs using Ethernet and RS-232C.

With the exception of the sync port on the C102, each port on the G3000 Series has the same capability as the C100 Series.
