Expansion Example

The Gateway 1000s (and other Gateways) have a standard Ethernet port. The port can be used for Command and Control of the G1000. If several Gateways (for example: G1000s) are meshed (linked) together, the Command and Control can be expanded to treat all of the individual systems as a single unit. The Ethernet link can be used to route data to specific interface cards on a different G1000. This flexibility can provide redundancy and load balancing for several units.

The Gateways can be linked through a HUB, frame relay connection or other types of interfaces. The operator interface can control any function on all of the meshed units.
