Serial Protocol Conversion Diagram

The Gateways (in this example, a Gateway 530) emulate a bisync or SNA controller to the host and converts the TCP/IP data into the serial protocol frame. Up to 128 addresses can be supported for the connection.

Many other Legacy protocol networks can be supported with the Gateways.
