C-120 Summary

Connect async and Ethernet devices
to a high-speed CDMA or GSM Network

The JBM Electronics Gateway C120 Cellular Router is a compact wireless router designed to economically connect devices to a cellular network. This Linux-based IP/VPN router allows TCP and async devices access to a CDMA or GSM network. The C120 provides protocol conversion, security and routing for the terminal’s data. The C120's CardBus slot support a carrier-supplied PCMCIA card for connection to a CDMA EVDO or GSM, HSDPA/HSUPA networks.

The C120’s low price point and advanced features provides a simple solution that can be deployed in a variety of network environments. The C120 is designed for high bandwidth applications such as DSL fallback and small office connectivity. If low bandwidth connection is applicable for the application, the Gateway C200 (CDMA) or C250 (GSM) can be used to provide the same functions with support for 1XRTT or GPRS connections.

The C120 provides all of the processing capabilities needed to interface terminalal devices to the host system, including custom headers, data manipulation and special routing. The Gateways’ fallback and management capabilities allow the units to be quickly integrated into existing networks and management systems.

Design Philosophy

When JBM designed the C120 we had one goal in mind. Build a device that gives the user all of the functionality needed to integrate the device into a network with a minimum of design change and reconfiguration.

As you will see in the Application Section, we achieved our goal. The level of functionality provided by the C120 is unparalleled in the cellular router market. This device provides a level of functionality that others don't. It is this added functionality that makes the C120 the most versatile product in the market.

Unfortunately, in large enterprise networks, a high degree of functionality is only one important part of the life-cycle triad.

In the Deployment section we will show you how to quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively deploy large quantities of JBM C120's across your network with simplicity, ease, and speed

In the Management section we will show the tools available to you to manage large quantities of devices across your network.
