The Gateway 1000's Multiport Async Expansion Card (G1000 MPC) provides up to 64 async ports for connection to modems. ATMs can access the G1000 using Poll/Select or Visa protocol. The G1000 will convert the data to TCP/IP or any of the supported LAN, WAN or serial protocols.

This concentration provides a cost-effective method of consolidating many low volume ATMs into a higher speed host link.
