The Gateway (in this example, a Gateway C112) emulates a host using a serial protocol. The C102 poll the attached ATMs using a multipoint Legacy serial protocol. The C112 will poll the individual ATMs and convert each ATM's data to a separate TCP/IP session for delivery to the host.
