Edge Access Conversion with Dial Support

The Gateway (in this example, a Gateway C111) emulates a host using a serial protocol. The C111 will poll the ATM and convert the data to TCP/IP. The C111 appears as a TCP/IP Client to a remote Server and will establish a connection after the ATM is accessed by a user. The async RS-232C port will control the locally attached ATM. The second dial-tone port supports a dial-only ATM. Each port of the C111 can be defined with a unique protocol, baud rate or mode.
