The Gateway (in this example, a Gateway C110) emulates a host using a serial protocol. The C110 will poll the ATM and convert the data to TCP/IP. The C110 appears as a TCP/IP Client to a remote Server and will establish a connection after the ATM is accessed by a user.

The serial protocols supported by the Gateways include:
    Async

    NCR Poll/Select
    Unisys Poll/Select    		 Sync

Each Gateway provides a different combination of port types and count. The Gateway's port determines the protocols supported. This table lists the protocol supported by each Gateway. More information on the protocol conversion capabilities of the Gateways is available here.
