Wireless Series Ordering Instructions

Overview

The Wireless Series routers have several options that must be properly specified at time of order. The order code follows the format:

Model Number - Carrier - Power Supply

The cables for the Gateways can be ordered from JBM Electronics or fabricated using the information in the unit's Cable Manual.

Step 1 – Model Selection

Step 2 – Carrier Selection

The cell modem is carrier specific. The available carriers are:

Feature Code
Carrier
-S
Sprint
-V
Verizon
-G
GSM/GPRS Domestic (1800 MHz). C25x Series only.
-I
GSM/GPRS International (1800 MHz). C25x Series only.
Note: The C120 and C130 use carrier-supplied Air Cards, which are installed in the CardBus slot.

It is your responsibility to order the carrier account for the cell modem module selected in this step. Once the Gateway is received, the unit must be registered with the phone number provided by the carrier.

For example, the order code for a C201 connected to Sprint will be C201-S.

Step 3 – Power Supply

The Gateways use an external power supply, which connects to the unit with a small barrel plug. If an International Power supply is required (220 Volts), use the Feature Code – H.

For example, to order a C201 connected to a GPRS network with a 220 V power supply, use order code – C201-I-H.

The International power supply terminates in a PC-style connector (IEC 60320) and requires a customer-supplied power cord.

Step 4 – Cables
